We park the car near the cross to Kal'e Moru, and, with the helmet on our head,
we turn left from the main asphalted road to a way that begin with a short
descent that, becoming off road, runs near the old Monastery, that now has been
rebuilt as a restaurant with a beautiful water-park.
At the first "Y" cross we go right along an off road way that at the first bend
on the left, climbs us on a very steep ascent. After a short downhill,
we run on another ascent wich follows an ancient Roman road.
After 5 Km. we arrive near an old building and follows on a middle slope ascent
that runs along the stream "Meriagu Mannu" in a gorge where the water runs
on the rocks. (photo 1)
We go on along the ascent that drive us to "Arcu s'Ollioni" where the road
became a lowland entering the wood. In this area rises the "Dispensa Sanguinetti",
an old hunters building, where sometimes it is possible to see some fawns!
After 14 Km. we reach the second cross on the left; we turn left and begin
a short climb to the area of "Mont'Arbu", where the landscape is rich in granite
rocks. One of this rocks is called "La Sfinge" because of it's similar to
the Egyptian monument. It is a very big rock from which it is
possible to watch a marvelous landscape to the cost of Castiadas.
Continuing on the track on our left, we climb on an ascent from which we can see
suggestive views to the "7 Brothers" mountain.
After we go beyond the peak of "Mont'Arbu" (803), we follow on the right and
run on a nice descent that drive us again to "Arcu s'Ollioni", but we turn on
the right to a very closed single track. This is a very funny single track, in
fact it is tecnical, but with a moderate steep slope. Sometimes we have to go by foot!
After a few kilometres, we arrive near to the "Dispensa Vecchia" (400) and we turn
left at the first cross to begin the final descent to Geremeas.
It is a very good downhill that begin running into the wood with tecnical portions
to drive us to a panoramic off road way that ends with a lowland and come back at the
car parking.
